Instagrampians, an innovative photo competition developed by cms for Grampians Tourism encouraged visitors and locals to post photos on Instagram during spring. By using #grampiansinspring and mentioning @thegrampians, participants could win best weekly and overall campaign photo.
Leading Instagrammers and media visited the region for Instagrampians including popular website Broadsheet, News Corp’s glossy magazine Sunday Style and travel blogger Lauren Bath, who boasts Australia’s largest following as an independent user on Instagram, with over 300,000 followers.
The successful social media campaign attracted over 3,000 images, generated 222,400 Likes and reached over 5 million active Instagram users. To further leverage the campaign, a video was created to showcase how the images capture the natural beauty of the Grampians region in spring.
Discount cruise website Cruise Offers sought fans for its new Facebook page and to increase their email database. Working with an amazing prize of an all inclusive cruise for two to the South Pacific, cms developed and implemented a fun, interactive Facebook competition, asking fans to create a “Dream Cruise Postcard” and tell who they would take away with them and why. We developed in-store displays and managed a small Facebook advertising campaign.
The target was to increase Facebook fans by 5,000 and the email database by 2,500. These KPI’s were smashed with 16,141 new fans and 3,800 new email addresses.
